The Kruger Park Lodge is a golf resort located along the banks of the majestic Sabie River. It is located in the picturesque Panorama Route of Mpumalanga, South Africa. The resort has a sub-tropical bush feel with beautifully landscaped gardens. This makes it an ideal vacation resort with lots of open space. The Kruger Park Lodge is centrally located in Hazyview. Furthermore, it is only 10 km from the Phabeni entrance gate of the Kruger National Park. Alternatively, access into the KNP can also be gained from the Numbi Gate which is about 15 km away.
Kruger Park Lodge is located on a 110 hectare secure estate with 24 hour security and access control. Guests are therefore safe while they are enjoying themselves in this exclusive golf lodge. Apart from the Gary Player designed golf course, there are many other facilities to enjoy. There are four tennis courts, of which two are flood lit. The main swimming pool also has a splash pool for children and is located next to the restaurant. Two additional more private pools can also be used by guests. For the more active guests there are walking trails that follow the Sabie River and meander through parts of the golf course.
Kruger Park Lodge is a paradise in the Lowveld
The hippo hide provides the special African touch. Here guests can watch the hippo relaxing in the water. On occasion a crocodile can also be seen. The hide is also the perfect spot for bird lovers. Here many birds can be watched resting on large trees surrounding the dam.
A large herd of impala can roam freely on the golf estate. They often congregate in the shade of the trees during the midday heat. An abundance of birds have also made their home at the Kruger Park Lodge and fish eagles can often be heard calling.
For the children there is table tennis, mini-golf and even trampolines. The abundant space of the resort also allows them to run around and play in a safe environment.
The thatched chalets in the resort are all self-catering units. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. Additionally guests can enjoy a pub lunch menu throughout the day. The resort hosts a weekly “bring-and-braai” dinner. This is a fantastic way to meet and get to know other guests or owners staying in the Kruger Park Lodge. A cocktail bar serves drinks and cocktails thoughout the day and evening. The 50 seater conference centre can also be used for bigger functions.
In Hazyview and its surroundings there are many restaurants. A number of them are of a very high standard and range from steak houses to italian food. Most of the popular fast food outlets are also represented in Hazyview.
Kruger Park Lodge has a 24 h reception, however, it is advised not to arrive after 21h00. This is mainly to respect the other guests that are enjoying the tranquility of the resort in the evenings.
